Wounded Warrior Paul Brown Hawaii
PBH has been working closely with the WWP for over three years, participating in several major campaigns. This year, we will launch Shear Appreciation, a fundraiser benefiting Wounded Warrior Project and the 20 free, diverse programs they offer to our injured veterans to assist them on their journey to recovery. Our plan is to expand Shear Appreciation every year with the help of beauty distributors, salon owners and stylists. Through suggested donations, raffles, cut-a-thons and other events, Paul Brown Hawaii hopes to bridge the gap between the professional salon industry and the WWP. For information, visit Shear Appreciation page.

Shear Appreciation

Help and Empower Our Wounded Warriors

Paul Brown Hawaii launches its first annual Shear Appreciation, a two-month-long fundraiser for Wounded Warrior Project, from Sept. 11 through Nov. 11. The campaign honors the men and women who risk their lives for the safety and freedom of our country. Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) supports the transition of servicemen and women returning to the United States from military conflicts. WWP currently serves more than 70,000 service members and 11,000 family members through its 20 programs and services. Now they need your support, so sharpen those shears and get involved. Help raise money for those service members who have returned home with the mental and physical wounds of war.

For the past decade, Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) has helped tens of thousands of wounded service members and their families successfully return to civilian life. With the mission to honor and empower Wounded Warriors, WWP programs are specifically structured to engage warriors, nurture their minds and bodies, and encourage their economic empowerment. Warrior families and caregivers are provided comfort, care, and education to help support the recovery of their warrior.

Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) has a big, audacious goal: to foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation's history. We are challenging ourselves to help WWP reach this vision, and we need your help. How to Participate

When you register for Shear Appreciation, you will be given a link to a web page that will list various ways in which you can make a difference. It can be as simple as a donation, or something more elaborate, such as a raffle you organize to raise money. Every effort and donation counts. Whether it's $5, $10, $25, or $100, each gift makes a huge difference in helping wounded service members and their families. But you can do other things to raise money as well.

To encourage your efforts, Paul Brown Hawaii will run promotions specifically for each event and contribute complimentary products to select participating salons. Participating distributors and salons will receive promotional materials, such as brochures, posters, lapel pins and additional resources to help promote your participation to your local community and beyond. Furthermore, you will be listed on the WWP website as a Proud Supporter, and your event will be listed on the WWP Facebook page. You will receive all the support you need and specific guidelines on acceptable practices and fundraising ideas to maximize your efforts and give your effort the recognition it deserves.
